The value of bachelorhood

Bachelorhood has become a value recently. The number of single men and women is increasing from year to year exponentially. However, a habit of living alone is more popular among men. It's a pity, because the amount of men is much less in comparison with the number of women. The only pleasant thing in this information is the fact that women still stick to traditional values and want to marry and have children. Though women, who are concerned about their work and career also prefer to remain single and are reluctant to find their life companions and to create families. Our modern way of life kills traditional conceptions, principles and values. At present it is very difficult to combine work, leisure and family life. Creating a family for many people is at the end of their list of priorities.
What are the reasons for such a dramatic situation with traditional family values? It is well-known, that our society is changing rapidly and this fact influences greatly people's habits. It turns out that sometimes it is very convenient to stay alone and thus to avoid many types of responsibilities, to have more free time and meet friends.
Today it is very simple to start an affair with the opposite sex, but it is very difficult to find true love. It can be explained by the fact that modern people are more practical and pragmatic. Many of them either are disappointed in love, or think that it is a myth, or simply that it implies many responsibilities and is a heavy burden.
One more reason for bachelorhood is a negative experience of intimate relationships. Having gone through constant quarrels and arguments, many people begin to think that it is much better to live alone, than to try to build new relationships. They are so fed up with family life that consider bachelorhood and loneliness to be one of the greatest values in the world.
The most of bachelors are proud of their being alone. They parade their free and independent life and claim that it has a huge number of advantages. Curiously enough, the majority of these people lies and hides real reasons of their being alone. Despite all possible advantages of bachelorhood, many singles would like to sacrifice this imaginary freedom for the sake of creating a good family on condition they find a suitable match. They simply don't believe that it is possible for them to meet a person with whom they could live all their lives, but they refuse to acknowledge their failure and prefer to find imaginary merits of being alone.
As you see, if we deeply examine single persons, it will be clearly seen that a handful of them are satisfied with their bachelorhood, in other words there are a few people, who consider bachelorhood to be a value and an end in itself.
